Our Team

Neal Ailstock

Neal Ailstock has been the owner and operator of Seatco since 1976. In 1970, at age 20, he started work for the previous Seatco owners by sweeping the floors and driving cars to and from dealerships. In 1976, hard work and fortune paid off and he was able to buy the company.

Neal considers himself blessed. He works in an industry he’s passionate about and he and continues to be able to restore cars with some of the original employees. With no intentions of ever retiring, Neal and his team have been serving the automotive community for thirty-eight years and counting.

Elias Mejia

Elias has over 11 years of experience in auto interiors, specializing in upholstery. He has over 18 years experience total in automotive repair. Originally from Guatemala, Elias says he likes doing everything in the shop, but his first and current love is repairing and restoring seats, door panels and carpets.

He likes working on any of the cars the clients bring in (there is always something different rolling in, he says), but is also looking forward to getting his own project in the near future – something of his own that he can work his magic on, and enjoy after completion.

Matt Lupton

As Neal’s nephew, Matt has a long history with Seatco. While training as a fledgling wrench jockey, he spent most of his summers in the 90’s and beyond in the shop, learning the trade from the older guys.

Devoted to providing a stellar customer experience, these days Matt alternates between his webmaster duties in the office, handling the brunt of the shop’s inquiries and estimates, and turning his client’s questions into happy, successful experiences, and the shop, where he does upholstery work. He plans to one day succeed his uncle, assuming that Neal ever feels like retiring.

An avid music lover, and a vinyl record collector, Matt spends a lot of his off-hours combing through records at local shops, or giving guitar lessons in his spare time.

Brian Whitacre

Brian has been working with cars for 15 years and has been working with auto upholstery for over 10 of those years. His specialty is custom dye work.

Brian is a Northern Virginia native and loves everything the area has to offer. On his days off, you can often find him on a soccer pitch, or, in front of a screen cheering on his favorite professional sports team.

Carl Goode

Carl has been working in the auto industry for 19 years. A Maryland native, he began as a valet at a local dealership, spending the weekends restoring a 1971 Chevy Nova with his grandfather. From there he worked for Fabrion Tech Inc, where he continued honing is craft. He can be found on the weekends playing flag football and basketball at local courts and parks.
